School Uniform

At Marlborough we believe that a smart school uniform gives children a sense of community.

School uniform is compulsory at Marlborough. Items marked with a * are purchased online through your 'My Child at School' MCAS and collected from the School Office.

From September 2023 all polo shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans must have the Marlborough School Logo

The full uniform for Nursery to Year 6 is as follows: 

Headwear 

Any headbands etc. must be plain navy blue or black

Only religious headwear is wearable indoors

Headscarves, worn for religious purposes, must be plain.

Pupils can have long hair, but we would like it to be tied back:  all hair should be styled in a way that is appropriate for school

School Logo Items 

*A White Polo Shirt with the school logo (no plain polo shirts). 

*Navy Sweatshirt or Navy Cardigan with the school logo (no plain sweatshirts or cardigans).

Non School Logo Items

 Charcoal Grey School Trousers with Grey Socks or Charcoal Grey School Skirt (no pinafores) with Charcoal Grey Tights or Socks. 

Plain Black School Shoes, not trainers.

Boots are not permitted inside the school:  if children travel to school in boots/wellingtons, parents should bring a suitable pair of shoes for them to change into before entering the building.

Summer Uniform (after Easter to October half term)

Pale blue and white check School Dress and white socks.  Dresses with the school logo are available*

Charcoal Grey School Shorts/skorts with Charcoal Grey Socks. 

School Bags 

We offer book bags* (Nursery) and rucksacks* (R-Y6) with the school logo, but these are optional.

PE Kit 

Children should have a separate PE bag which contains: 

Plain White T-Shirt 

Plain Navy Shorts or Plain Navy Tracksuit Bottoms

Plain Navy sweatshirt

A pair of trainers

No jewellery is permitted during PE - this includes earrings. 

Jewellery 

We ask that no jewellery is worn to school for health and safety reasons. 

Small stud earrings as well as necklaces worn for religious purposes are permitted.

Nail varnish should not be worn to school.
