Applying for a place at MPS
Marlborough is a two-form entry primary school with up to 60 places available in each year group.
The fabulous state of the art facilities at Marlborough Primary School opened on 11th September 2017. Our school is increasingly popular and places are filling fast.
If you wish to make an in-year application for your child to attend our school please contact the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Admissions Team on 0207 745 6432 or email here. Parents of children attending the nursery class at Marlborough Primary School must reapply for a reception class place. As in all state school’s there is no automatic transfer from the nursery class to the reception class.
Marlborough Primary School admits pupils from Reception to Year 6 in accordance with the admissions criteria of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Local Education Authority.

To apply for places in our day care and a nursery you will need to contact the us directly as we manage the admissions.
If you are considering the school for your child, we would be delighted to offer a guided tour of the school. Guided tours are available on a Monday and Thursday morning. Special Educational Needs tours are on a Friday morning. Please contact the school on 020 7589 8553 or email info@marlborough.rbkc.sch to reserve your place.
The admissions criteria as set by the local authority for Marlborough is:
Applicants with a signed Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Education and Health care Plan (EHC) which names one of the Royal Borough community schools will be placed at that school via the SEN process as set out in Section 324 of the Education Act 1996.
If there are more applications to the school than there are places available, the Royal Borough will allocate places in the following order of priority:
1. Children in Public Care
2. Children who have an exceptional medical or social need,
3. To siblings of children already at Marlborough
4. To children who live nearest the school.
Marlborough is an inclusive school and we welcome all families and children. We usually encourage prospective parents to come and visit the school prior to any application being made.
Once you have received an offer from the Local Authority, a member of admin team will be in touch with further information about our school. All new parents are invited to meet the Executive Headteacher before the child is admitted to the school.
