We are excited to have our two Day Care rooms in the heart of our school, enabling the children to start their journey with us from as young as 6 months. 

We offer high quality care and play in both our Baby Room (6 months to 2 years old) and Toddler Room (2-3 years old).

We have experienced teachers and Early Years Educators delivering well-planned and stimulating learning activities.

We offer wrap around care from 7.45am to 5.30pm 

Day Care children will have the opportunity to use the facilities available to all the EYFS children in our school, such as EYFS only outside area, dance and music studio and multi sensory rooms.

Curriculum 

Our EYFS ethos and curriculum runs right through from children in our Day Care at 6 months old, to our children in our Reception classes. We deliver a curriculum that incorporates the seven areas of learning. The Characteristics of Effective Learning run through and underpin each of these areas.

We know our children very well and we plan through their interests and tailor their learning to support them in achieving their next steps. Please find our curriculum overview below.

Our Day Care curriculum focus on the Prime areas of EYFS learning and supports the children to develop in a holistic and nurturing way. 

 

     

 

 

Learning  in Day Care

Our children love to learn and it shows in everything that they do. We believe in promoting positive relationships with our children and each other. We focus on supporting our children to develop a Growth Mindset which ensures that they can overcome any obstacles.

Every child is allocated a Key Person from the team who will be both the child and their parent's primary contact. All Key People will ensure that care routines and planned learning experiences match the needs of each child. 

Our Day Care Offer

Our Day Care is open for 49 weeks per year* from 7:45-5:30pm on Monday - Friday, for children from 6 months until they turn 3. (They will then move up to Nursery class).

*The service closes for two weeks to coincide with the school’s Christmas holiday and the last week in August.

 

 

 

 Food and Snacks

Our lunches are provided by Harrisons catering company, who prepare our lunches on site.  There is a three weekly rolling menu which can be seen on our lunches page.

All children in Day Care enjoy a morning and afternoon snack. All our snacks are subject to the ‘Eat Better Start Better Voluntary Food and Drink Guidelines for Early Years Settings’.
